It’s my 32nd birthday today! I’m not one that’s big on celebrations, and we chose to forgo gifts this year because we bought a new dining room table after we moved to Boston (which we both love, so it feels like a birthday present). BUT…my mom is visiting for the week, so all I requested was a few hours by myself this morning. I’m currently sitting in Starbucks drinking my favorite warm drink, reading, and having some “me” time.
I’m two years into my 40 by 40 bucket list, so I thought it would be a good time to check in and see how I’m progressing!
Visit 40 National Parks/Monuments (11/40)
This year we visited 6 national parks in 4 different states. One of those is practically in our back yard and we visit at least once a week. We are so excited to be in a part of the country with a lot of parks, monuments and historic sites!
Scrapbook our family pictures
This one is coming along quite slowly, but I am making some progress.
Finish the BBCs top 100 books
I haven’t read any books from this list this year. None of them make me excited to read them and reading should be fun, not a chore. Maybe this year I’ll read a couple.
Read 200 books (21/200)
I read 18 books from March to September which I’m quite proud of. We have an awesome library system in our area, so I know I’ll catch up to my “20 books a year” goal.
Find and follow a skin regiment
I wanted to find a skin care plan that was non-toxic and affordable. So after a lot of research, I found and ordered several products. I can’t wait to share them on here when I get a chance to use them.
Give blood 20 times (2/20)
I’m really excited to be able to do this after taking a long break. Giving blood is so easy to do and makes a huge impact on those who receive the blood.
Volunteer 500+ hours (2/500)
I have a LOT of hours to make up, but I’m giving myself grace because I just had twins and moved to a new state. So hopefully this year will present opportunities to volunteer.
Purchase a Cricut cutter and complete 10 projects
Don has used my cutter more than I have, but I did do one small project so far. Hopefully I’ll find time this year.
Contribute the maximum annually to my IRA (2/10)
Done! Since I’m not working full time, it’s nice to know I’m building up my savings for the future.
Have another child
Yes, times two! If you need a laugh, their birth story is a doozy!
Watch all the James Bond movies
Start a blog
Side hustle while staying at home
Selling Norwex on the side is a fun little hobby that I hope to grow this year.
In Progress: 9/40
I feel like I made good progress this year and am excited for what 32 has in store!
